This site was born in 1999 under the banner Digital Chalk Line. The picks are generated by a computer program written by the site owner, Liam Durbin. The computer program has been tweaked and extended numerous times to improve the win percentage, but the algorithm is still very similar to what it was originally.
Throughout the years, E-Ponies.com picks have been featured in many publications, including the Louisville Courier-Journal, Chicago Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, LA Times, Baltimore Sun, USA Today, and The Saratogian. Most of those papers have since dropped coverage of horse racing entirely. When E-Ponies picks appeared, they were always as good as or better than human handicappers in local papers. Many racing sites link into E-Ponies.com today.
E-Ponies.com has continued to bring new technologies to horse racing enthusiasts. Here are some of the great tools introduced in the past two years: One Click Pony self service tool, E-Ponies premium content subscription service, Tip Tweets, and contest website Cap2Win. E-Ponies is on iPhone and Android with several popular apps, including One Click Pony, Exacta Max, Pro Picks Mobile and Home Tote Board. Just search for E-Ponies.com on the app store of your choice.
E-PONIES.com continues to grow in popularity, now dishing out about a half million page views per month. Visitors hit the site from 59 different countries.
