Owendale looks like the one to beat in this one! I really like his last three starts. He closed beautifully from an average of 9 down to either win or run third, and that third place finish was in the Preakness! So this horse is no stranger to big dances, and performs well in them! Even his MSW’s and AOC’s look good! And for only having been in a total of four stakes and got in the money 3 of the 4 times, Owendale is looking like a true contender. Finally, returning jock Florent Geroux is aboard once more, and Geroux was his jock in his last three starts! So you can see where I am going with that!

Nextie! Tacitus has a great chance of winning this. He truly looks great on paper. He’s only got 2 losses—one that really counts—and all the rest of his finishes are either wins or seconds! And this horse can close, he can stalk, he can practically do it all! The only question mark to me, is Owendale going to burst out of the clouds on him? Catch him at the wire?

Lastie! Mucho Gusto looks like our best of the rest in this one! I found 2 closers for ya, but now I needed a counter-balance to finish this tri. Either a stalker or front runner, and I found both in Mucho Gusto! Last two times out he stalked nicely from either 4th or 5th for a second and a win! Prior to those two starts we got a front runner that is capable of wiring ‘em! So watch for Mucho Gusto to possibly take them gate-to-wire, but at worse he could get caught but still should be in this purse!
