WESTERN FAIR RACEWAY – FRIDAY, MAY 31, 2019
                                                                            CAMLUCK CLASSIC NIGHT

It’s the final day of the season in London and their biggest night of the year!  The $150k Camluck Classic closes out a spectacular all-stakes 12 race card!

      RACE 1

City of London Trot – Final $26,600

      4 – THE GREAT FARINI 5/2 – A solid 2nd in last week’s eliminations and gets a favorable post.

2 – NORTHERN TAILWIND 9/2 – Travis Henry loves London and always comes up big there when the money is on the line.  Ran well against the top 2 choices last week and draws inside.

8 – RAISING ROYALTY 7/5 – Just might be the best of these but gets a tricky position behind the 1 – TRUE CUSTOM 4/1 – A talented 3yo who is yet to stay flat on the tight turns in London.

      RACE 2

      O.S.S. Grassroots 3yo Filly Pace – $22,450

4 – FREYA SEELSTER 7/2 – Should find these a bit easier.  Expect her to control the race from the front end with Roy in the bike.

6 – FULL MOON FIX 4/1 – Value Play – A serious late threat.  Loves it in London and is razor sharp!

5 – MANHATTAN NIGHT 3/1 – Took a stake here in October from post 7 and would be no surprise.

      RACE 3

City of London Filly & Mare Trot – Final $24,200

5 – SORORITY SECRET 9/2 – Value Play – Angus Hall filly looks to be improving and could pull the upset in a race with some questionable favorites.

4 – ABSYNTHE HANOVER 8/5 – Raced dull last week but did just enough to qualify for the finals.  Not for me at a short price.

2 – VINDALOO HANOVER 5/2 – Inherited the lead and the win when 6 – HOLIDAY HARLOT 7/2 broke in the stretch.  Not sure of the quality of competition she’s been facing so she looks vulnerable late.

      RACE 4

      O.S.S. Grassroots 3yo Filly Pace – $22,450

      1 – FREE EXCHANGE 8/5 – 1:56.2 qualifier says she’s ready.

5 – ARYA STARTK 5/2 – Competitive against better.  Roy will be sending, and she looks to be the main threat.

2 – SO MUCH MORE 9/2 – Maybe a piece as she gets a major class test.

      RACE 5

      O.S.S. Grassroots 3yo Filly Pace – $22,450

4 – ERIKAS SHADOW 10/1 – Value Play – Makes her 3rd start of the year and I expect a big effort from off the pace from a cozy post.

2 – BETTER NOW 9/5 – She looks like the lone speed, but these are tougher than she’s been facing lately.  Vulnerable at a short price.

6 – LANESIDE SPORTSGRL 6/1 – She’s missed some time but has a strong late kick.

      RACE 6

      O.S.S. Grassroots 3yo Filly Pace – $22,450

5 – CHARMBRO BRIE 7/2 – Not willing to take a short price on a gal who comes from off the pace.  Daughter of Betterthancheddar makes her 2nd start after an impressive 55 last half.

1 – ROSELLA 8/1 – Expect her to get a nice trip.  She’d need the race to fall apart somewhat but that could easily happen.

      3 – SUNSHINEATTHEBEACH 5/2 – She’s had no excuses in 3 of the last 4.

      RACE 7

City of London Filly & Mare Pace – Final $31,600

8 – SPORTY TORI 6/5 – Talented Sportswriter filly should get perfect position behind the speed of 1 – EVAS SPORTS CZECH 5/2.

5 – SIGNIFICANCE 4/1 – Mach Three filly is a perfect 4 for 4 and looms a large threat at a solid price.

4 – SUNSHINE INN 6/1 – She needs to stay close early and grab cover for a late chance.

      RACE 8

      O.S.S. Grassroots 3yo Filly Pace – $22,450

1 – BLACKCHEDDAR 2/1 – Jody is a master at controlling a race from the front end.  I think he’ll save enough for the finish.

3 – TWIN B TIPSTER 6/1 – The vet scratch will ensure a price on a runner who has a solid late kick.  Bettors Delight filly is in with a chance and worth a play at that morning line.

2 – CRISP MANE 7/5 – Adds Lasix and drops in class for Henry.  Only 2-18 so it might pay to look elsewhere.

      RACE 9

      O.S.S. Grassroots 3yo Filly Pace – $22,800

1 – SAULSBROOK JESSIE 5/2 – She’s very sharp these days, but she’ll have to do this from off the pace.  Always a tricky read on a ½ mile oval, so beware of a short price.

4 – KYLIE SEELSTER 8/5 – She should be ready for a top effort with Henry in the bike.  The price will be too low for me.

2 – SO FRISKY 4/1 – Would expect Young to send from an inside post.  Not sure she can last.

      RACE 10

      O.S.S. Grassroots 3yo Filly Pace – $22,800

3 – SUGAR SHADOW 5/2 – As wide-open as it gets.  Therefore, you must demand value.  Lightly raced daughter of Shadow Play gets a perfect post and I look for Jamieson to send her.  As I said before, he’s very good at rating a horse and she just might wire them.

      2 – GOODNIGHT IRENE 3/1 – Should get a good trip from post 2.

5 – BEHAVENMYSELF 9/2 – She’ll be tested for class, but this isn’t the strongest division so it would not be a surprise if the daughter of Badlands Hanover finds herself in the winner’s circle.

      RACE 11

City of London Horse & Gelding Pace – Final $31,400

5 – MISSILE SEELSTER 5/1 – Value Play – Bettors Delight colt appears to have a bright future.  Henry has options as there’s speed if he chooses to use it.  Tremendous value here.

2 – CAMSKING 7/2 – The lone 4yo in the group goes for his 6th victory.  Expect Young to gun from post 2 and he looks like the one they’ll have to catch.

4 – SILAS SEELSTER 4/1 – Dexter Dunn drives and that alone makes her a threat.  Would be no surprise.

      RACE 12

      Camluck Classic – $157,000

3 – THE WALL 9/2 – Value Play – Was part of a 25.2 opening quarter last time in the Commodore Barry Invitational at Harrah’s and came 1st up to take a short lead in a 26.4 3rd quarter.  If you’re looking for a value play to close out your night, this is the one!

2 – DONE WELL 7/5 – Confederation Cup winner is likely to be on the lead, but if they go some early, he could be vulnerable late.

1 – IDEAL JIMMY 2/1 – Very tough when able to get to the front, and connections have publicly stated that they intend on doing that here.

      EARLY PICK 4

      RACE 4

      1.5 / 2.4.6 / 1.3.5 / 5.8

      LATE PICK 4

      RACE 9

      1.2.4 / 2.3.5.6 / 2.4.5 / 2.3

      BEST OF LUCK!
