KEENELAND RACE 9 ANALYSIS FOR FRIDAY – 10/18/2019

      RACE 9 – 1 1/16 MILES (TURF) – VALLEY VIEW (G3) $150,000

BLOWOUT (5/2) has been a consistent performer for the Chad Brown barn. Third beaten a neck in the G2 Lake Placid and second beaten a half-length in the G3 Lake Placid at Saratoga and second beaten half a length in the G3 Florida Oaks at Tampa Bay. In 3 non-graded stakes she won the $206 Pebbles and the $97k Wild Applause at Belmont and was second beaten a head in the $97k Memories of Silver.

HARD LEGACY (6/1) won virtually gate to wire in the G3 Regret at Churchill Downs in June at 1 1/8 on turf. She was a non-factor in 3 other Graded stakes showing no speed at all. On the plus side, in her last race, the G1 Del Mar Oaks, she was fifth only losing by 3 to Cambier Parc, who just triumphed in the G1 QEII at Keeneland.

WINTER SUNSET (8/1) was second the whole way around when Hard Legacy went gate to wire in the G3 Regret at Churchill Downs in June. She was also third in the G3 Edgewood behind superstar Concrete Rose in May and third behind Concrete Rose and Blowout in the G3 Florida Oaks at Tampa Bay in March. In non-graded stakes she is 3 for 3 including winning the $200k Indiana Grand last time.

LADY PRANCEALOT (8/1) is a deep closer from the West Coast who rallied to finish third behind Cambier Parc in the G1 Del Mar Oaks. She also ran 1-2-3 in 3 consecutive G3’s at Santa Anita between April and June. Will get plenty of pace to run at of she can compete outside of Southern California.
