KEENELAND RACE 7 ANALYSIS FOR FRIDAY – 10/18/2019

      RACE 7 – 1 1/16 MILES (TURF) – ALW 73,000 N3X

9 – CULLUM ROAD (3/1) just finished third in a G3 Laurel Stakes beaten only half a length for the whole enchilada. He was also third in the G3 Fort Marcy at Belmont in May. Also owns 2 in the money finishes at Kentucky Downs in races worth $241k and $398k the last 2 years. The last time this one was entered in Allowance company last April here at Keeneland was the last time he won.

3 – SECRETARY OF WAR (6/1) was second in the G2 Seabiscuit at Del Mar last November. He was third and first in his last 2 Allowance races. Switched barns last time going from Richard Baltas to Brad Cox, a 26% trainer. Cox’s trainer stats are off the charts in all pertinent categories.

8 – SNIPER KITTEN (6/1) won the $200k Mystic Lake Derby in June 2018 NS ran good enough in his previous start at this level to be a contender here. This is another horse who loses much more than he wins but is consistently overmatched in Stakes races and has been an effective performer at this level.

None of these 3 horses are win machines but should be able to produce decent efforts at this level. This is not a race to bet the rent money but could be a value race for exotics bettors.
