BELMONT PARK RACE 5 ANALYSIS FOR THURSDAY – 10/17/2019
RACE 5 – 1 MILE TURF – CLAIMING $32,000
3 – BITUMEN (5/2)
10 – SIDING SPRING (5/2)

5 – HIEROGLYPHICS (5/1)
6 – LUCKY RAMSEY (8/1)
9 – MORRISON (8/1)
10 – SIDING SPRING led every step to the top of the stretch last time in a $40,000 Starter Allowance race but settled for third. In his prior race vs. $25k claimers he stalked the leader from second and drew off to win and was claimed by Mike Maker from Mark Casse. The key to his chances maybe his front running third 3 races back vs. $45k.
6 – LUCKY RAMSEY came off a 9-month layoff to be a strong closing second behind Siding Spring. Won at this level in September 2018 and was claimed by this trainer out of that race. Belongs at this level and has a legitimate shot at a decent price.
