BELMONT PARK RACE 5 ANALYSIS FOR FRIDAY – 10/18/2019
RACE 5 – 1 1/16 MILES (INNER TURF) – CLAIMING $30,000
1 – ASCENDER (5/1) after breaking her maiden in her second start, was well beaten badly in 4 straight vs. Allowance Non-winner on 1. In her last they finally dropped her into a $30,000 claimer and she woke up with a good second beaten only a length at a mile on the turf at Belmont. She gets an extra 1/16 of a mile today and seems primed for a winning effort.
3- PECATONICA (6/1) was on top of the pace in her previous race at Saratoga August 1 winning after catching the leader at the top of the stretch. That was vs. $40,000 maiden claimers. She faded vs try against winners in an Allowance Non-winner of one and drops into $30,000.
2 – RECESS (8/1) finally put it all together last time to beat $40,000 maiden claimers for Todd Pletcher. She now drops in with $30,000.
