Bricks and Mortar is the one to beat by far! He looks fabulous on paper! He only has 2 losses in his long resume; otherwise he’s been doing nothing but winning! He can close like nobody’s business, too! He comes from an average of 6 down before taking the lead and keeping it! Two starts back he came from 9 down to just sneak past the leader and steal the vic, even after a bump at the 1/8 pole! So this horse is a nice closer that should be able to handle this field and distance with ease! Irad Ortiz is up once more for trainer Chad Brown.

Nextie! Robert Bruce has been having some trouble with his last couple races, but that was all thwarted when he ran second in a very nice bounce back in June in the Manhattan. So, needless to say, I will happily take that second place effort from Robert Bruce, as oppose to how he’s been running before that. Robert Bruce won last year’s Arlington Million, so he will be a nice competitor for Bricks and Mortar. Robert Bruce is a great stalker, too!

Lastie! Captivating Moon looks like our best of the rest in this one! The last 3 times out he closed from 9 down to run third each time. And this seems to be the norm with this horse. Deep closing from several down to run either second or third in most of his starts. If you look clear back to last year’s American Turf at Chruchill he came from 13 down to run second! So defiantly watch for this one to truly come from out of the clouds to get his nose in this purse!
