Canterbury Park announced Feb. 5, the 2026 Thoroughbred stakes schedule for its 51-day race meet that runs May 23-Sept. 19. The schedule includes 23 stakes and named allowances totaling $1.1 million in purses.

Canterbury Park concluded its 2025 season Sept. 20 with an increase in average daily attendance and daily average on track wagering remaining consistent with the prior season.

Four races not contested at Canterbury Park the evening of Sept. 18 due to inclement weather will be run Sept. 20. They will follow the existing races scheduled on Saturday, Canterbury's final day of its meet.

Canterbury Park announced that, in cooperation with the Minnesota HBPA, the purses for the Blair's Cove Minnesota Turf and the Bella Notte Minnesota Distaff Sprint will be increased to $50,000 and will be conducted as stakes Sept. 6.

Canterbury Park received a three-year accreditation from the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority Board of Directors following an onsite HISA Accreditation Team visit.

Canterbury Park racing officials will delay the start of the July 27 racing program to 6 p.m. CT due to a projected excessive heat index early in the afternoon. The seven-race program was originally scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
