The Kentucky Thoroughbred Development Fund Committee approves Keeneland's request for $6 million to $6.25 million in Kentucky-breds funds.

Keeneland will debut interior hospitality spaces within its newly constructed paddock building during the upcoming spring meet.

Keeneland has scheduled 19 stakes worth a total of $9.55 million during the Spring Meet April 3-24. It offers two marquee events for 3-year-olds: the $1.25 million Blue Grass Stakes (G1) for males and the $750,000 Ashland Stakes (G1) for fillies.

At the end of Keeneland's January Horses of All Ages Sale, 700 horses were sold for $53,580,300, including private sales, up 52% from last year's gross of $35,225,900, from 724 horses sold. The sale recorded its highest gross since 2008.

Keeneland concluded Day 1 of the January Sale with 319 head changing hands for $31,706,400, including private sales. The average was $99,393 with a median of $42,000.

Mandy Pope's Whisper Hill Farm went to a sale-topping $3.2 million to acquire Tiffany Case (Hip 465), the dam of grade 1 winner Nitrogen, during the Jan. 12 opening session of the Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale.

Keeneland will kick off 2026 with the Horses of All Ages Sale Jan. 12-13 in Lexington. The sale, which spans over two days, features a catalog of 1,105 horses, including breeding stock, racing prospects, and short yearlings.

Returning to the place of her grade 1 success, buyers will have the opportunity to make Simply in Front part of their broodmare band at the Keeneland January Horses of All Ages Sale, Jan. 12.
