FanDuel TV will return to Del Mar with on-site coverage of its meet, which begins July 17. The summer season at Del Mar continues through Labor Day Sept. 7.

The popular "Ship and Win" program, now in its 16th consecutive year, has attracted more than 3,000 horses to Del Mar, helping the track continue its reputation as one of the nation's foremost "full field size" locations.

Del Mar's 2026 stakes schedule will offer $7,775,000 in purses, including five overnight stakes each carrying a $100,000 prize. The seaside Southern California track will present six grade 1 stakes over the course of its eight weeks of racing.

Of 13 horses expected to fly into Southern California this week, only one didn't make the trip, according to Del Mar. Flights were grounded due to the FAA grounding MD-11 freighter aircraft for inspections and repairs.

With heavy rain in the forecast, Del Mar announced they will cancel the Nov. 21 card and add a race day Nov. 24.

In anticipation of rainy weather in Southern California, Del Mar has moved up the post time by half an hour for its Nov. 14, card to noon PT and canceled racing Nov. 15, the track announced on social media.

Fred Maas, a multi-talented sports executive, is the latest member of the Del Mar Thoroughbred Club's board of directors.
