The New York Racing Association and the New York State Gaming Commission have placed Barn 28 at Belmont Park under a 14-day precautionary quarantine until further notice due to a positive case of strangles in that barn.

The Belmont Stakes (G1) will be run at Saratoga Race Course for a third consecutive year in 2026, with plans for the classic to return to Belmont Park in 2027, according to an announcement June 13 by Gov. Kathy Hochul.
