Why These Uniques Need a Real Tradeoff

Leoric’s Crown is the standout design test. In Diablo 4, it counts as Jewelry and boosts a gem socketed into the helm, so it can create combinations that a normal helm simply cannot. That sounds exciting, but the item still has to compete with defensive helms, cooldown options, and direct DPS pieces. A special interaction is only healthy when you give something up to use it.

Farming Gear and Push Gear Are Not the Same

From what I’ve seen, sustained Burning, Poison, Bleed, and Shadow setups have the best chance of turning those drawbacks into manageable problems because their damage keeps ticking while you reposition.

Keep a burst loadout and a damage-over-time loadout instead of forcing one setup everywhere.
Compare farming speed against Pit performance before calling an item best-in-slot.
Store promising gear before using Rebirth, since equipped items and inventory contents must be cleared first.

The Mythic Upgrade Question

The PTR’s Horadric Cube recipe lets an eligible item become Mythic while retaining its affixes, Tempering, and Masterworking, but the crafted result carries a Crafted tag and only one such item can be equipped. That makes preparation matter more: don’t rush a conversion on a merely good drop. Rebirth also adds a practical seasonal option by resetting an Eternal character to level one while preserving its identity and selected cosmetics. Season 15 could be at its best when iconic effects guide early builds, Soul Splinters create risky choices, and Mythic crafting gives a carefully prepared item somewhere to go.
