      Saratoga Alw 115000n1x 6 Furlongs 3&up Saturday, July 23, 2022 Race 8
1 Ryan’s Cat: I think there’s too much speed in this race to comfortably use him. They would all need to spit their collective bit to see him snatch top honors.
1A Rejected Again: Like his entry mate I think he’s in against too much speed and class.
2 Peaceful Waters: If he runs with the early pace makers he could go a long way and have a lot of people holding their breathes. He’ll need a few things to break his way to win but the chances of that happening may be too much to hope for. I will still use him underneath, hopefully at a price.
3 Prisoner: His last race was a complete failure where he didn’t run a bit. He’s just to slow to beat these.
4 Favorite Outlaw: If he can repeat his last will be a dangerous foe. Gaffalione and Assmussen will need to decide to chance or set the pace. He’s coming off two surfaces I think most runners find hard to handle and this surface is akin to those. I can’t dismiss him easily. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wins.
5 Stage Left: Not sure he can roll with these if he tries to go to the lead. He got on a slight roll in winter where he won two in a row. However, I think these will be too tough for him to outrun.
6 Under Oath: If projected favorite 7 Highly Respected shortens up in the stretch, he could run him down. He hasn’t raced in three months and should be well rested. Pletcher rejoins with Velaquez and these two win about 1/3 of the time they team up
7 Highly Respected : Should come popping out the gate and on the throttle. If he gets his way should have this field running hard to catch him at the shorter distance.

      Saratoga OC 62500n2x 1„ Mile 3&up Saturday, July 23, 2022 Race 9
1 Uncle Moonlight: Carmouche asked him for all he had in his last to secure the win. I believe he takes a step back today with the step up in class. He has superfecta chances and that’s the best I can give him in this short field.
2 The Reds: The Saffie barn does well bringing his runners back off breaks. Although he hasn’t competed well at this level, I think with his best he has just enough late foot to outrun others and make a trifecta bid.
3 Rising Empire: If these runners do not come back to him he’s not going to do much. He gets blinkers added and a rider switch to Gaffalione. This only helps him run for the superfecta
4 Gentleman Joe: I will try to toss that last start and blame it on the mud in his face. If he recovers, he may go with early leaders and could hang around to hit the board. He needs the better runners to come back him in a big way. That could happen but I’m betting it won’t. I’ll use him in the trifecta.
5 Air Attack: Should get some pace relief and that may offer him a chance to run at a pace he prefers. I think he bounces off that triple digit speed figure effort and will have to find more to win.
6 Creed: He hasn’t been seen in over a year and in that race he finished well up the track. I think McGaughey is using this for a tune up for a later date.
7 Stage Raider: He should be well rested and if he can avoid any hiccups before and at the start of the race I think he will either control the pace or run just off it. Ortiz has handled him well in prior races and should have him in prime position to win for the red hot Chad Brown barn. It’s a bit hard to look to others for the win

      Saratoga Caress-G3 5½ Furlongs (T) 4&up, F & M Saturday, July 23, 2022 Race 10
1 Caravel: Went gate to wire in the G3 Intercontinental where she enjoyed a bit of luck trapping 3, Star Devine along the hedge. I’m not to sure she’ll get that lucky today. If she doesn’t get the lead, I think she chase 3, Star Devine home. I think it’s a two-horse race for the win.
2 Miss J McKay: She will have to get lucky here. Graded stakes level of racing hasn’t been good to her.
3 Star Devine: She has speed and I’ll give her two bad luck losses. In the Intercontinental stake where she broke well but have had her stride broken when eventual winner Caravel dropped in front of her. Then lack racing room. In the Giants Causeway she just had a torrid pace in front of her. I think she runs well and if she gets a clear path should go gate to wire
4 Bout Time: She should get a stalking trip behind the sped in here and if they tire, she should be able to get past them to win. The time she won her last start would be good enough to win here although she steps up in class. That time may be a one off but she’s good enough to hit the board
5 Tobys Heart: Ill toss that last when she got knocked around and taken up at the start. She’s never lost at this distance If the top two are on their game today she’s running for minor rewards.
6 Robin Sparkles: She has her work cut out for her today lots of speed is entered in this race. If she’s on the lead it should be too much for her to sustain. I think she’s running for smaller purse money at best. Hopefully she doesn’t fade badly and finish off the board.
7 Lady Edith: I think there are too many better runners entered against her. This should regulate her to the superfecta
8 Souper Sensational: Cutting back today and comes off a unsuccessful bid to win in her last at Woodbine where she just caught at the wire. Casse returns her to the turf and if she somehow shows that speed once more could be a contender. I’m not sure if we will see it again and she’s going to have to make a believer out of me. I’ll use her underneath just in case.
9 Kept Waiting: Post position 9 and her rivals entered today keeps her off the board.
10 Fouette: Somehow posted a triple digit sped figure in her last. She makes her turf debut today and I will just watch her run.

      Saratoga Alw 50000s 1ˆ Mile (t) 3&up Saturday, July 23, 2022 Race 11
1 Front Man: His only effort at Saratoga came over a yielding turf surface that allowed him to get past a weaker field of runners. He’s inconsistent with his last speed which can hurt his chances but if he shows any late speed, he should be competitive today
2 Montatham: He races well at this level but doesn’t win. He’s shown he can handle a faster pace that could occur in this race. I think his lack of late speed hinders his chances to win but if my top two choices don’t fire well….
3 Moped Dennis: That last effort at 7 furlongs saw him chase a sharp pace although in a weaker field. He didn’t lose any ground. That does not mean he wins today but can hang around for minor rewards with an honest effort.
4 Amended: Ships in from Laurel and if the pace goes as I expect he should be too slow to do more than a superfecta run.
5 Seaver: Stretches out and needs to prove to me he can get this distance. He’ll have to foul up my gimmick wagers.
6 Topic Changer: Cuts back for his third lifetime start and could improve just enough to challenge for a in the money finish. If he’s held off the pace a bit more then he was in his last. I think he can earn a decent check
7 Shinsun: Won as first asking and Tagg might have him ready to go in his second start. Moves up in class and gets Seaz to pilot. Hopefully he gets some pace to run after and could finish in the trifecta.
8 Catch That Party May be the logical choice but just can’t get his head across the wire first. He is a turf runner Ortiz has yet figured out how best to use him. This field is one he should beat but I don’t 100% trust him.
9 Air Show: His lone turf try didn’t show much and he should have a tough time keeping pace today.
10 Lord Flintshire: He’s a game runner that can get the job dome. Last year at this meet, he raced well at this level but never won. He’d have to step up to win and with 8 Catch That Party apparently unwillingness to win gives him a chance.
11 F F Rocket: The lack of late speed should keep him out of all wagers. He needs a pace failure to move forward.
